PARIS -- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA), the leading independent provider of data integration software, today announced that Pernod Ricard, one of the world's leading companies in wines and premium spirits, is standardizing globally across all subsidiaries its data integration and consolidation on the Informatica platform, Informatica was chosen to enhance its tactical dash boarding and business visibility as part of its Business Intelligence standardization initiative.
Following a competitive evaluation, Informatica PowerCenter was selected for worldwide deployment due to its superior performance, ease of development and implementation and suitability for use in business-critical 24x7 environments.
«With Informatica PowerCenter, we are able to process very large volumes of data in record time. This is essential for guaranteeing rapid access to Pernod Ricard's strategic information, and a large number of analytic applications will now benefit from the proven performance of Informatica,» said Jean Chavinier, Pernod Ricard's Group CIO. «PowerCenter is also one of the most comprehensive systems on the market, with a large range of functions. These will be extremely useful in the context of the development of our global IT systems environment.»
Pernod Ricard needed to consolidate a number of disparate systems following operational changes and multiple acquisitions. The implementation of a common ERP system was the catalyst for change and resulted in a project to overhaul the company's analytical tools region by region, with a common data integration solution collecting and sharing data across various applications. The intuitive mapping capabilities within PowerCenter enabled fast migration of Pernod Ricard's subsidiaries to the Informatica platform resulting in faster time-to-value.
«We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious group as Pernod Ricard,» said Didier Guyomarc'h, vice president EMEA Sales, Southern Region, Informatica. «Pernod Ricard's decision to implement our solution as the standard for the entire Group proves that data integration has now become a strategic choice for companies across the world as they look to remain agile and competitive in today's global economy.«
