A training course on the temporal dimension in functional genomics will be held in Tartu, Estonia, on 13 to 18 June.
The importance of time dimension in biological systems is well known. The need to execute the sequence of events in an orderly and timely manner is central in many research areas such as
developmental biology, gene expression studies, intracellular signalling pathways, etc.
This course will feature lectures, practical courses and journal clubs given by leading researchers from Europe and the US on the following topics:
– temporal aspects of evolutionary genetics;
– temporal aspects of genome evolution through gene duplications;
– genetics of time and rhythm in complex traits;
– genetic effects meeting in dimension of time: analysis of gene-gene interactions.
The event is organised by the EU-funded PROUST project.
