La Norvegia ha vinto la 15ma edizione del Bocuse d’Or dopo 5 ore e 35 minuti di prove mozzafiato!
Il prestigioso concorso di gastronomia -creato da Paul Bocuse nel 1987- ha premiato il miglior Chef tra i 24 candidati internazionali che si sono esibiti dal vivo di fronte a 2.700 appassionati e sotto gli occhi attenti dei più famosi chef mondo, tra i quali il nostro neo Presidente di Euro Toques International, Enrico Derflingher, che accoglierà a Villa Lario i Capi di Stato e le più importanti personalità che verranno in Italia per Expo 2015.La finale di Lione è la conclusione di un percorso che ha coinvolto diciotto mesi di gare nazionali ed eventi di selezione in tutto il mondo.Orjan Johannessen del ristorante Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri si è distinto per le sue eccezionali capacità e la padronanza dei prodotti imposti:
Landes Label Rouge ruspante faraona e trote fario.
Vincendo il Bocuse d’Or 5 volte e salendo sul podio 9 volte, la Norvegia si è dimostrava una Winner implacabile.
Gli Stati Uniti hanno conquistato il 2°  posto, il che attesta la qualità impeccabile della gastronomia americana e conferma la candidatura del concorso per le Americhe.
La Svezia, non nuova sul podio del Bocuse D’Or, vince il suo secondo bronzo e resta il 3 ° Paese in termini di risultati ottenuti al concorso.

Norway has won the 15th edition of the Bocuse d’Or after 5 hours and 35 minutes of breath-taking tests! The prestigious gastronomy contest – created by Paul Bocuse in 1987 – rewarded the best Chef among 24 international candidates who performed live in front of 2’700 supporters and under the watchful eyes of the most famous chefs in the world.This concludes a process that involved eighteen months of national rounds and continental selection events.

Orjan Johannessen from the restaurant Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri distinguished himself by de- monstrating exceptional skills and mastery of the imposed products: Landes Label Rouge free-range guinea-fowl and fario trout.

By winning the Bocuse d’Or 5 times and making the podium 9 times, Norway demons- trates implacable consistency. The United States achieve second place, attesting to the impeccable quality of American gastronomy and confirming the opening of the contest to the Americas. Sweden is no newcomer to the podium, by winning its second Bronze Bo- cuse it remains the 3rd country in terms of achievements in the contest.

BOCUSE D’OR – NORWAY

Orjan Johannessen from the restaurant Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri (Austevoll), represen- ting Norway won the Bocuse d’Or 2015 and 20’000 euros in prize money. Norway has already reached the podium 9 times. Orjan Johannessen had participated to the 2013 finale.

SILVER BOCUSE – UNITED STATES

Philip Tessier from the restaurant The French Laundry (California), representing the United States won the Silver Bocuse 2015 and 15’000 euros in prize money. It is the very first time for the United States make the podium in 15 participations.

BRONZE BOCUSE – SWEDEN

Tommy Myllymaki from the restaurant Spira-Sjön-N.E.O.-Julita Wärdshus, representing Sweden won the Bronze Bocuse 2015 and 10’000 euros in prize money. It is the second time on the podium for the candidate who won the silver Bocuse in 2011.

Special Fish prize: Hideki Takayama from restaurant Maison de Gill Ashiya (Rouen), repre- senting Japan.

Special Meat prize: Matti Jämsén from restaurant G.W.Sundmans et Sundmans Krog, repre- senting Finland.

Prize for the best promotional campaign: Emiliano Javier Schobert from restaurant El Obra- dor (Bariloche), representing Argentina.

Prize for the best poster: Gabor Molnar from restaurant Excelsior’s Vinothek Winebar, repre- senting Hungary.

The contest

Held at the heart of Sirha in Lyon, this 15th edition of the Bocuse d’Or was once again the gathe- ring point for the very best in gastronomy worldwide.

This was an opportunity for the participating countries to assert and promote their standing as top gastronomic nations.The 24 chefs who took part in the event came from the 5 continents and highlighted with utmost brio the culinary heritage and signature of their respective coun- tries.

They demonstrated wonders of precision, audacity and creativity under the scrutiny of the Ho- norary Jury composed of American chef Grant Achatz (Alinea, 3 stars, Chicago, USA), French chef Thibaut Ruggeri (Bocuse d’Or 2013) and Jérôme Bocuse, president of Sirha.
